Wisdom on Her Tongue

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Merciful Father, you sustained St. Monica through years of prayer for those she loved. Through her intercession, give me patience when change is slow, wisdom in my words, and hope when someone seems far from you. Receive every tear I cannot explain, and draw my family more deeply into the life of Christ. Amen.

Love can become so urgent that every conversation turns into correction. Monica learned when to speak, when to wait, and when to seek help from wiser guides. Kind instruction tells the truth with patience while respecting the freedom and dignity of the one who hears it.

God of wisdom, guard my tongue when fear makes me harsh or repetitive. Give me the right words at the right time and the humility to be silent when silence is more loving. Through St. Monica's intercession, let truth and kindness remain together in me. Amen.
