St. Carlo Acutis Novena

The Living Bread

Day 2 of 9 · 4 min

  1. 01

    Sign of the Cross

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

  2. 02

    Opening

God of every generation, you gave St. Carlo a joyful desire for Jesus in the Eucharist and a generous love for his neighbors. Through Carlo's intercession, renew my friendship with Christ, guide the gifts you have entrusted to me, and receive my intention. Teach me to seek holiness without display or delay. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

  3. 03

    Your Intention

Let us pause in silence, and bring to mind the intention you are praying for.

In the app, your own saved intention rests here during the silence. The narration stays the same for everyone.

  4. 04

    Scripture

    John 6:51

I am the living bread which came down out of heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. Yes, the bread which I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.

  5. 05

    Reflection

The Eucharist stood at the center of Carlo's life because Jesus himself is at the center. At Mass, Christ gives his Body and Blood sacramentally for the life of the world. Reverent reception should deepen repentance, gratitude, unity with the Church, and love for neighbor. Adoration learns to recognize the same Lord in neighbors who need patient care.

  6. 06

    Prayer

St. Carlo, intercede for a deeper Eucharistic faith within me. Help me prepare well for Mass, receive Jesus worthily, adore him with attention, and let his self-giving love shape my own. Pray that Jesus leads me from the altar toward reconciliation and concrete love of neighbor. Amen.

  7. 07

    Our Father

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

  8. 08

    Hail Mary

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

  9. 09

    Glory Be

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

  10. 10

    Closing

St. Carlo, young friend of Jesus, pray for children, teenagers, families, and all who seek holiness in ordinary life. Help us receive Christ reverently, use our gifts with wisdom, serve the poor, and run faithfully toward heaven. Keep every screen, friendship, and decision ordered toward love. Amen.

  11. 11

    Sign of the Cross

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
