The Power of Her Prayer

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to you. You appeared with rays of light streaming from your open hands, and said they were the graces you long to give to all who ask. As I begin these days of prayer, I open my hands to receive what you so freely offer. Let your grace pour into my life and the lives of those I love, and lead us all to your Son. O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to you. Amen.

Confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective.

If the prayer of any righteous soul is powerfully effective, how much more the prayer of the sinless Mother of God. Countless conversions and graces have been traced to the medal and to her intercession. When Mary prays for us, she prays with a love and a closeness to God that we can scarcely imagine.

O Mary, conceived without sin, your prayer is powerful before your Son, for no one is closer to him than you. Add your intercession to mine for the intention I carry. Pray for me as only a mother can, and obtain what is best for my soul. Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly to you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

O Mary, conceived without sin, you showed St. Catherine the graces waiting to be poured out on all who ask. Open your hands now over the intention I have carried through these days, and present it to your Son. Win for me the graces I most need, even those I do not know to ask for, and the conversion of the hearts I love. O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to you. Amen.
