Infant Jesus of Prague Novena

The Lowly Are Lifted

Day 3 of 9 · 4 min

  1. 01

    Sign of the Cross

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

  2. 02

    Opening

O Divine Infant Jesus, I come to you as a little child, with all my needs and all my trust. You who made yourself small for love of us, look kindly on me in my smallness. Fill me with confidence in your power and tenderness in your care. I believe that you can help me, and I believe that you will. Divine Infant Jesus, I place all my hope in you. Amen.

  3. 03

    Your Intention

Let us pause in silence, and bring to mind the intention you are praying for.

In the app, your own saved intention rests here during the silence. The narration stays the same for everyone.

  4. 04

    Scripture

    Matthew 18:4

Whoever therefore humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.

  5. 05

    Reflection

The world measures greatness by how high we climb; the Kingdom measures it by how low we are willing to stoop. The Infant Jesus, the King who became a helpless child, shows us that true greatness is humility. The path upward in God's eyes always runs downward, through the door of a humble and trusting heart.

  6. 06

    Prayer

Divine Infant, you who are King of all chose to become the smallest among us. Teach me to find my greatness not in being lifted up by others but in lowering myself before you. Take away my hunger to be seen as important, and give me the freedom of a child who simply wants to be near you. Amen.

  7. 07

    Our Father

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

  8. 08

    Hail Mary

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

  9. 09

    Glory Be

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

  10. 10

    Closing

O Jesus, who said, Ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened to you, I knock, I seek, and I ask that my prayer be granted. O Jesus, who said, Whatever you ask the Father in my name he will give you, I humbly lay my need before your Father in your holy name. O Jesus, who said, Heaven and earth shall pass away but my word shall not pass away, I trust that my prayer is heard. Divine Infant Jesus, I place all my hope in you. Amen.

  11. 11

    Sign of the Cross

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
