Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Novena

8

The Empty Tomb

Day 8 of 9 · 5 min

  1. 01

    Sign of the Cross

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

  2. 02

    Opening

Father, you gave Mary a listening heart and made her the mother of your Son. Through her intercession, teach me to contemplate the mysteries of Christ, welcome his word, and carry the intention of this nine-day novena into your loving care. Let repetition quiet distraction and deepen attentive love. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

  3. 03

    Your Intention

Let us pause in silence, and bring to mind the intention you are praying for.

In the app, your own saved intention rests here during the silence. The narration stays the same for everyone.

  4. 04

    Scripture

    Matthew 28:6

He is not here, for he has risen, just like he said. Come, see the place where the Lord was lying.

  5. 05

    Reflection

The glorious mysteries begin with a fact that changes every horizon: Jesus is risen. Christian hope does not deny the tomb; it announces that death does not keep the final word. Even unresolved grief can be held inside the promise of new creation. The risen body of Christ makes every work of mercy and justice matter.

  6. 06

    Prayer

Mary, Mother of the risen Lord, pray that Easter hope may take root in me. Ask your risen Son to strengthen all who grieve and help me live today as one who expects his victory to be complete. Through your intercession, may I become a patient companion to those whose hope feels fragile. Amen.

  7. 07

    Our Father

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

  8. 08

    Hail Mary

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

  9. 09

    Glory Be

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

  10. 10

    Memorare

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly to you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

  11. 11

    Closing

Our Lady of the Holy Rosary, keep my eyes fixed on Jesus. Pray that his joyful, luminous, sorrowful, and glorious mysteries may shape my life, and place my intention before him in faithful hope. Teach me to carry contemplation into mercy, peace, and faithful witness. Amen.

  12. 12

    Sign of the Cross

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
