Into the Father's Hands

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Father, you gave Mary a listening heart and made her the mother of your Son. Through her intercession, teach me to contemplate the mysteries of Christ, welcome his word, and carry the intention of this nine-day novena into your loving care. Let repetition quiet distraction and deepen attentive love. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Jesus, crying with a loud voice, said, 'Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!' Having said this, he breathed his last.

At the Cross, Jesus entrusts himself completely to the Father, and Mary remains near his surrender. The sorrowful mysteries do not offer an easy explanation for pain; they reveal love faithful to the end. In suffering, we can seek every needed help while placing what we cannot control into the Father's hands. At the cross, surrender and steadfast presence remain inseparable.

Sorrowful Mother, keep me near your crucified Son. Pray for all who suffer and for those who keep vigil beside them, and help me entrust what I cannot control to the Father's faithful care. Ask your Son to protect the grieving from isolation and surround them with wise, practical care. Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly to you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

Our Lady of the Holy Rosary, keep my eyes fixed on Jesus. Pray that his joyful, luminous, sorrowful, and glorious mysteries may shape my life, and place my intention before him in faithful hope. Teach me to carry contemplation into mercy, peace, and faithful witness. Amen.
