Greatness That Serves

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe, you conquer sin by self-giving love and draw all creation toward the Father's peace. Rule my heart during these nine days, receive the intention I bring, and make my life a faithful sign of your kingdom. Teach me to prefer your truth over every lesser loyalty. Amen.

For the Son of Man also came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.

The authority of Jesus is revealed in self-giving service. Christian leadership is not weakness, but power disciplined by love and ordered toward another's good. Every role of influence becomes accountable before the servant King. He kneels, welcomes children, touches the excluded, and gives himself on the cross. Service becomes the measure by which every Christian exercise of power is judged.

Jesus, humble King, purify the way I use authority at home, work, church, and community. Make me ready to listen, protect, decide justly, and serve without needing praise. Teach me to share responsibility, receive correction, and make space for overlooked voices. Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Jesus, my King and Savior, bring my intention into the wisdom of your Sacred Heart. Reign in my mind, will, relationships, work, and community, until all creation shares the freedom and peace of your everlasting kingdom. Make me ready to serve wherever your authority sends me. Amen.
