About Saint Peter Chrysologus
Peter Chrysologus served as bishop of Ravenna in the fifth century, when the city was an imperial capital. Remembered as the Golden-Worded for his concise, vivid preaching, he explained the Incarnation, Creed, and Christian moral life in accessible homilies. The Church later honored him as a Doctor of the Church.
