About Saint Joseph of Arimathea
Joseph of Arimathea was a respected council member and secret disciple of Jesus. After the Crucifixion, he courageously asked Pilate for Jesus’ body, wrapped it with care, and placed it in a new rock-cut tomb; John says Nicodemus assisted with spices. His public act of mercy emerged precisely when discipleship seemed most dangerous.
