Faithful in a Little
Day 3 of 9 · 4 min
- 01
Sign of the Cross
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
- 02
Opening
God of merciful love, you called St. Teresa of Calcutta to recognize and serve Christ in neighbors who were neglected and suffering. Through her intercession, give me a prayerful heart, attentive eyes, and willing hands, and receive the intention I carry. Let reverence guide both my compassion and my choices. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
- 03
Your Intention
Let us pause in silence, and bring to mind the intention you are praying for.
In the app, your own saved intention rests here during the silence. The narration stays the same for everyone.
- 04
Scripture
Luke 16:10He who is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much. He who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much.
- 05
Reflection
The kingdom often advances through duties too ordinary to attract notice. A meal prepared, a wound cleaned, a promise kept, or a message answered can become an act of fidelity. Its value comes from obedience to God and the real good it gives, not from applause. Hidden fidelity forms the habits that make larger service trustworthy.
- 06
Prayer
St. Teresa, pray that I may be faithful in ordinary responsibilities. Guard me from seeking attention, and help me complete today's work carefully, honestly, and for the love of God and neighbor. Let accuracy, timeliness, and kindness become quiet forms of worship. Amen.
- 07
Our Father
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
- 08
Hail Mary
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
- 09
Glory Be
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
- 10
Closing
St. Teresa of Calcutta, faithful servant of Jesus, pray for those who are poor, sick, lonely, dying, or forgotten. Present my intention to God, and help me unite prayer with humble works of mercy wherever he places me. Keep every act rooted in prayer, truth, and respect. Amen.
