St. Jude Novena

7

More Than Conquerors

Day 7 of 9 · 4 min

  1. 01

    Sign of the Cross

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

  2. 02

    Opening

O God, Father of all consolation, you sent your apostle Jude to carry the Gospel to the ends of the earth, and you have made him a sure helper in desperate need. As I begin this novena, turn your face toward me. Through the prayers of St. Jude, give me confidence that no cause is beyond your power and no one is beyond your love. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

  3. 03

    Your Intention

Let us pause in silence, and bring to mind the intention you are praying for.

In the app, your own saved intention rests here during the silence. The narration stays the same for everyone.

  4. 04

    Scripture

    Romans 8:37

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

  5. 05

    Reflection

The promise is not that we will be spared every hardship, but that in the midst of them we are more than conquerors - through him who loved us, not through our own strength. St. Jude won his victory by clinging to Christ, and he asks the same grace for us.

  6. 06

    Prayer

Lord Jesus, I feel anything but victorious, yet your word says that in you I am more than a conqueror. Through the prayers of St. Jude, let your love be my strength where my own has run out. Lift my eyes above this struggle to the One who has already overcome. Amen.

  7. 07

    Our Father

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

  8. 08

    Hail Mary

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

  9. 09

    Glory Be

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

  10. 10

    Closing

St. Jude, apostle and friend of Christ, you are honored as the helper of the hopeless and the patron of cases despaired of. Pray for me in this need, that I may not lose heart but trust the goodness of God. Carry my petition before the Lord, and obtain for me the grace I ask, if it is for the good of my soul. Amen.

  11. 11

    Sign of the Cross

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
