7

That All May Be One

Day 7 of 9 · 4 min

  1. 01

    Sign of the Cross

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

  2. 02

    Opening

Father of mercy, you called St. John Paul II to serve your Church with courage and hope. Through his intercession, deepen my friendship with Christ, renew my love for every human person, and receive the intention I bring through these nine days. Form my courage through prayer, truth, and charity. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

  3. 03

    Your Intention

Let us pause in silence, and bring to mind the intention you are praying for.

In the app, your own saved intention rests here during the silence. The narration stays the same for everyone.

  4. 04

    Scripture

    John 17:21

that they may all be one; even as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be one in us; that the world may believe that you sent me.

  5. 05

    Reflection

Division among Christians wounds our witness and contradicts the desire Jesus expressed in prayer. John Paul II sought encounter across churches, religions, nations, and cultures while remaining rooted in Catholic faith. Unity grows through truth, repentance, patient dialogue, and shared love. The goal is not vague agreement but communion ordered to Christ.

  6. 06

    Prayer

St. John Paul II, intercede for the unity of Christians and peace among peoples. Ask Christ to heal pride and suspicion in me, teach me to speak truth with respect, and make my parish a place where repentance and welcome can grow together. Amen.

  7. 07

    Our Father

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

  8. 08

    Hail Mary

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

  9. 09

    Glory Be

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

  10. 10

    Closing

St. John Paul II, pastor and pilgrim, pray that I may belong more fully to Christ. Intercede for the Church, families, young people, the suffering, and all peoples, and help me bear faithful witness to truth, mercy, and hope. Keep my hope anchored in the risen Lord. Amen.

  11. 11

    Sign of the Cross

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
