St. Cajetan Novena

3

Reform Begins Within

Day 3 of 9 · 5 min

  1. 01

    Sign of the Cross

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

  2. 02

    Opening

Provident Father, you called St. Cajetan to seek your Kingdom, renew the Church, and serve people burdened by sickness and poverty. As I begin this novena, receive my needs and free me from anxious self-reliance. Through his intercession, give me courage to work faithfully, wisdom to accept help, and generosity to share what I have. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

  3. 03

    Your Intention

Let us pause in silence, and bring to mind the intention you are praying for.

In the app, your own saved intention rests here during the silence. The narration stays the same for everyone.

  4. 04

    Scripture

    Romans 12:2

Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God.

  5. 05

    Reflection

Cajetan lived when the Church urgently needed reform. He understood that structures matter, yet lasting reform also requires people willing to be transformed by grace. It is easy to diagnose failures at a distance. The harder question is where Christ wants to renew my habits, use of money, relationships, and service so that my criticism becomes faithful witness.

  6. 06

    Prayer

Holy Spirit, renew your Church and begin your work in me. Through St. Cajetan's intercession, reveal where comfort, pride, or fear has shaped me more than the Gospel. Give me humility to repent, patience to build what is good, and courage to serve reform through a life that is truthful, merciful, and faithful. Amen.

  7. 07

    Our Father

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

  8. 08

    Hail Mary

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

  9. 09

    Glory Be

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

  10. 10

    Closing

St. Cajetan, priest and servant of Providence, you sought renewal through holiness and met Christ among people who were poor, sick, or overlooked. Carry my intention before God. Pray that I may trust without becoming passive, work without making success an idol, and receive support without shame. Help me seek God's Kingdom first and become an instrument of his practical care for others. Amen.

  11. 11

    Sign of the Cross

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
