Steadfast in Hope

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Merciful God, you called St. Pio of Pietrelcina to serve Christ as a Capuchin priest and to spend himself for souls. Through his intercession, draw me closer to the Eucharist, reconciliation, and faithful prayer. Give me patience in suffering, compassion for the sick, and confidence in your grace. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

rejoicing in hope, enduring in troubles, continuing steadfastly in prayer, contributing to the needs of the saints, and given to hospitality.

Hope does not demand that every trouble end on our timetable. It keeps turning toward God, enduring the present with love and refusing to let delay become despair. On this final day, Padre Pio's witness encourages a prayer that is steady, sacramental, and rooted in trust. Steadfast prayer also opens our hands to others while we wait.

Faithful God, I place before you the petition I have brought throughout this novena. Grant what will lead to true healing and holiness, and sustain me while I wait. Through St. Pio's intercession, make me joyful in hope, patient in trouble, steadfast in prayer, and generous to those in need. Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

St. Pio of Pietrelcina, faithful priest and compassionate intercessor, present my intention to Jesus. Help me return often to God's mercy, remain close to Christ in the Eucharist, and carry suffering without losing love.
