Do Whatever He Tells You

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Our Lady of Fatima, Queen of the Holy Rosary, you came to three children in a quiet field and asked the world to pray, to do penance, and to turn back to God. You promised that in the end your Immaculate Heart would triumph. As I begin these days of prayer, give me a heart willing to answer your call. Teach me to pray with all my soul, and to long, as you do, for the peace of the whole world. Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us. Amen.

His mother said to the servants, 'Whatever he says to you, do it.'

Everything Our Lady asked at Fatima was a way of saying what she said at Cana: do whatever he tells you. She points always to her Son and to his will. To answer the Fatima message is simply to obey the Gospel, lived out in prayer, penance, and love.

Our Lady of Fatima, you ask only that I do what your Son tells me. Make me obedient to his word and faithful to his commands. Quiet my excuses and strengthen my will, that my whole life may be a yes to him, as yours always was. Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly to you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

Take the intention I have carried through these days and present it to your Son. Make me an instrument of his peace, faithful in prayer and quick to turn from sin.
